On Display Men Model of the Week : Marvin Sweiden

Marvin originally hails from Lebanon, but he relocated to the states about five years ago and has been living in Texas for most of that time. His ascent into the modeling profession began roughly three years ago in Las Vegas when he participated in a runway model search.

Marvin caught the modeling bug and has been posing for the cameras ever since. “I haven’t done much yet besides amateur stuff, but I’m very dedicated and have a lot of passion for the industry. Succeeding in modeling takes a lot of hard work and a great agency that can get your face out there.”

This model also harbors a romantic side of his personality. “I like to do different stuff with the girl I’m on a date with – nothing like your typical date stuff. I try to make each date different and memorable. Anything that’s fun is good! I’m usually attracted to a girl that fits my lifestyle, is easygoing and fun.”

Will Chalker

Will Chalker was born in East Sussex, England on March 7th 1980. The 6'1" tall British supermodel and 165 lb. amateur boxer began modeling at the age of twenty in 2000, leaving his earlier career as a construction worker after a friend took test shots of him.

"I guess it's been distorted slightly over the years. I was working with a friend of mine on a building site. It was on a power station in Shoreham. He was at film college in Wandsworth. I went up there to collect some stuff with him and we did some pictures together. I took them to be developed and while he was off doing his stuff I took them into a couple of agencies. Someone I knew a couple of years before had done some modeling. Nothing serious like, just a little something they'd fallen into and they said I should try it. Nevs did some test shots with me and it's been a slow progression from there. The first couple of years were a bit rubbish, to be honest with you." - Will Chalker.

There was a tough beginning in the first two years in terms of his financial situation and the works available. Once he learned the ropes of business, Will Chalker was able to be versatile to meet the demands of different designers. He has been successfully modeling full-time for the past two and a half years.

Since then, the green-eyed and blonde bad boy has appeared in major designer campaigns including YSL, Perry Ellis, and Paul Smith. His runway tasks include opening and closing for Gucci, John Galliano's finishing tableau, Athena-poster look for D&G, and walking along Sonia Rykiel during her show. He has been modeling on the men's catwalks for nine seasons and modeling full-time since early 2003. He was crowned by the media as "the first male supermodel".

Chad White

Chad White, born in 1985, in Portland, Oregon, is an American model.

White has been seen in the June 2006 issue of L'Uomo Vogue where he owned the entire editorial well.    His work for L'Uomo Voque is one of his most important stints as a model, as photographed by world-renowned photographer, Steven Klein.     White has been on the runways in fashion capital cities in the world. He is one of the favorites of Versace, D&G and Dsquared2, among others.

In person, it is not only the face, with its perfect masculine jawline, or the body (made by years of playing many kind of sports) that makes an impression - It is White's personality.

White is known to his colleagues and friends to have unswervingly patient, tireless in his work, kind, fun to be with and capable of enduring any amount of hardship without complaint. He speaks little but is extremely intelligent.

David Chaloub, one of Brazil’s most popular and well-known male models, spent an afternoon at web retailer International Jock’s Hollywood studios for an afternoon photo session. David was photgraphed wearing new Spring styles from the collections of tattoo artist Ed Hardy, Italy’s GrigioPerla, sporting goods manufacturer ActiveMan and Brazilian designer Tulio. Mike Rivera from Texas

Mike is outgoing and loves playing football and basketball. He’s only been modeling for about five months, but he’s eager to discover where the modeling profession will take him. His goals don’t end with modeling, though. He one day dreams of starting a family and he’s already working towards becoming a radiologist. In his spare time he enjoys clubbing, singing and watching movies.

Mike has been modeling for five months and I was lucky enough to be able to sit-in at his first professional shoot. “I just figured I’d try modeling and see where it takes me,” he explained. “I’ve got pictures on Model Mayhem and MySpace, so when I was approached by On Display Men I just figured, why not?”

Mike attained his physique through athletics and good, old-fashioned hard work. Along with playing football and basketball, he also follows a workout regimen of bench presses and abdominal exercises. “It takes desire to become a model, but it also takes more than that. You have to be willing to make sacrifices and work hard.”

Although rejection is something every model deals with, everyone handles this unfortunate aspect of the business differently. Mike is unfazed by it. “I don’t take rejection personally.” he tells me, “I don’t let it bring me down. Really, rejection just makes me want to work harder.”

On top of modeling, Mike has other lofty ambitions. “I’d like to be successful at modeling, and someday I want to have a family. I also plan to become a radiologist.” Mike credits his family as being his biggest source of inspiration. “My mom and my two brothers really help me succeed; they’re my biggest motivators.”

This model has a clothing style that he describes as “Abercrombie,” which he wears on a day-to-day basis. Mike is very focused on athletics, so it’s no surprise that he and his friends often play sports together during their free time. Among other things, Mike’s interests include watching movies, clubbing and singing.

Nashville Star contestant Justin Gaston models for International Jock

Justin Gaston, currently appearing on NBC’s Nashville Star country music competition, is also one of the most popular models appearing on the International Jock underwear and swimwear website. Garrett Neff

Garrett Neff, born in 1986 in Delaware, is an American model, best known for his iconic "Calvin Klein" ads.

Neff was first discovered in 2005 at the airport , while vacationing in Barbados. A year later, he was signed with the prestigious modeling agency "Click."

By the end of 2006, Neff bagged multiple advertising campaigns for big brands such as "Abercrombie & Fitch" with Bruce Weber, "Benetton" with David Sims, and "Lagerfeld" with Karl Lagerfeld, as well as appeared in several editorial magazines such as "GQ," "V Man," "L'Officiel Hommes."

When not modeling, Garrett loves working out. He says it is the best way to blow off the steam and stress from a long day. But also sailing, tennis, photography are on his list of favorite pass times. To balance all this healthy exercise, Garett also likes a good barbecue every now and then.

Brian Kehoe

Brian Kehoe (born January 23, 1986) is an American male fashion model and a featured model of the Oxygen (TV network)'s reality television program The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency.

Kehoe was born in Reno, Nevada. He attended Bishop Manogue High School and the University of Nevada, Reno. In high school, he participated in two baseball state championships and one state championship in football. In college he was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity.

Kehoe began his modeling career doing work in the Reno area for casinos and fashion boutiques. He also modeled for Click LA, Vane’s Men, and some runway for LA Models. He attended the International Modeling and Talent Association in 2001

In 2006, Kehoe traveled to Los Angeles to attend an open call audition for The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency during the show's taping of its second season. He was selected to join the agency and within a few weeks moved to the Los Angeles area.   In season two, Kehoe was chosen to participate in the Catalina Island photo shoot for 2(x)ist.

In season three, Kehoe's roommate Grant Whitney Harvey joined the agency. Kehoe was hired to do photo shoots for Go Softwear and Dragonfly by Edward Dada. During the public demonstration by the agency models in support of the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), Kehoe was one of the models that removed his clothing as part of PETA's "I'd rather go naked than wear fur" campaign. At season's end, Kehoe was chosen by Janice Dickinson as one of her top models that would travel with her to Miami to test the viability of opening a Miami branch of the agency. In Miami, Kehoe joined the other models in doing a runway show for Ed Hardy intimates and mens underwear.
